Cutworms on Tomato Plants: Identification, Damage, and Effective Control Methods


Although tomato is the world's most widely grown vegetable crop, it is susceptible to early growth stage insect pests. Of these, the cutworms are the most damaging since they feed on plants at the soil surface and often kill healthy vigorous plants in a night.
